Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Teppanyaki Chef at ITC Gardenia, for our Speciality Japanese outlet. The Teppanyaki Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking teppanyaki dishes in front of guests, ensuring high-quality food presentation and taste. Day-to-day tasks include ingredient preparation, maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards, interacting with guests to enhance their dining experience, and collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Teppanyaki cooking techniques, grilling, and knife skills
  • Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Strong customer interaction and communication skills
  • Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in food preparation
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience as a Teppanyaki Chef or in a similar role is preferred
  • Culinary school diploma or degree in culinary arts is desirable
