Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Technical Purchase professional with strong exposure in project-based procurement for PLC, Instrumentation, and Electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end material procurement for ongoing and upcoming projects (PLC, Instrumentation & Electrical)
- Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) with proper consideration of taxes, rates, and terms & conditions
- Strong experience in vendor development and supplier management for technical components
- Procure critical items such as PLC panels, sensors, transmitters, cables, switchgear, control systems, etc.
- Prepare comparative statements (CS) and analyze quotations for cost-effective procurement
- Perform technical negotiations with vendors to achieve best pricing and delivery timelines
- Plan and procure materials based on project requirements, BOM & non-BOM items
- Maintain inventory levels (Min-Max / ABC Analysis) to ensure uninterrupted project execution
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams for material planning and dispatch
- Manage credit purchasing, supplier payments, and follow-ups
- Handle claims management (shortage, damage, price difference, wrong supply) with suppliers
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per project schedules
- Work on cost optimization and basic costing analysis
- Ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements
Key Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience in PLC, Instrumentation & Electrical procurement
- Strong understanding of industrial automation components and project execution
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of BOM handling, inventory planning, and procurement cycle
Preferred Profile:
- Candidate with prior experience in industrial automation / EPC / project-based companies
- Strong coordination skills with site and engineering teams
