The impact you'll make
The Technical Program Manager serves as a senior leader driving complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance Lam India's strategic goals in business, technology, talent acquisition, and academic partnerships. This role requires deep expertise in technical program management, stakeholder engagement, and innovation enablement, with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes that strengthen research collaborations, technical talent pipelines, and organizational presence. The Technical Program Manager operates with broad autonomy, leveraging extensive relevant technical experience to influence decision-making in the moment, resolve highly complex challenges, and establish formal networks across internal and external stakeholders. Will serve as the main technical point of contact to review the inputs provided by the university reducing the overhead to the engineering teams.
What You'll Do
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, execution, and delivery of high-impact programs for hardware, software and process engineering teams with structured governance and measurable outcomes.
- Define program goals, milestones, KPIs, risks, and governance frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Facilitate program cadences, steering reviews, leadership updates, and comprehensive technical documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Influence in the moment decision-making relevant to respective engineering teams and foster collaboration to achieve program objectives.
- Build and maintain formal networks across engineering, business units, OCTO, HR/TA, Corp Comm, and academic partners.
- Drive strategic alignment, resolve complex blockers, and ensure clarity of roles, timelines, and expectations across teams.
University Engagement Responsibilities
- Lead strategic partnerships with universities to advance hiring, research, joint development programs (JDPs), curriculum development, and innovation initiatives relevant to various engineering teams.
- Enable research and innovation initiatives by aligning academic and organizational goals.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for MoUs, research proposals, innovation challenges, and faculty collaborations.
- Drive impactful student and campus engagement activities, fostering long-term relationships and technical talent pipelines.
- Track program performance and provide detailed reporting to stakeholders.
- Represent Lam India in government and ecosystem engagements to strengthen partnerships and drive mutual benefits.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of experience in technical program management or cross-functional leadership roles, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex initiatives in semiconductor equipment engineering domain or similar.
- Exceptional communication skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and disciplined execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in semiconductor equipment engineering nuances.
- Experience in academic partnerships, research-driven programs, or innovation-focused initiatives.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
