The opportunity with one of our associate company Located in Saykha, Gujarat Location.
Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Senior Manager is responsible for the end-to-end movement of materials and
finished goods at the Saykha site. This includes inbound logistics of raw materials, packaging
materials, and engineering goods; management of all on-site stores; domestic transport
management. The role ensures that materials are available on time for production and that finished
goods reach customers on time, in full — acting as the connective tissue between procurement,
production, and the marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stores Management
• Oversee and govern three stores functions: raw materials & finished goods store,
engineering store, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure accurate inventory records in SAP B1 at all times, including material receipts,
internal transfers, and dispatches.
• Establish and maintain systematic storage practices — FIFO, proper labeling, and safe
handling of chemical raw materials and finished goods.
• Set reorder levels, safety stock norms, and consumption-based replenishment logic in
collaboration with the procurement team.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits; resolve discrepancies
promptly.
• Minimize inventory holding costs while ensuring zero production stoppages due to material
unavailability.

2. Inbound Logistics – Raw Materials, Packaging & Engineering Goods
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of purchased raw materials,
packaging materials, and engineering goods to the Saykha site.
• Manage the material receipt process end-to-end: vendor coordination, gate entry, quality
inspection handoff, GRN in SAP B1, and put-away.
• Track inbound shipments and proactively flag delays or shortfalls to procurement and
production planning.
• Work closely with the procurement team on lead time visibility and vendor delivery
performance.
3. Outbound Logistics – Domestic Transport & Ship Bookings
• Plan and execute domestic transport for finished goods dispatch — truck/tanker booking,
route optimization, and delivery documentation.
• Coordinate ship/vessel bookings for export consignments in collaboration with the marketing
team, which handles broader shipping documentation and customer communication.
• Ensure dispatches are executed in alignment with the monthly/weekly dispatch schedule
issued by the marketing team.
• Manage freight forwarder and transporter relationships; negotiate rates and ensure service
level adherence.
• Ensure all dispatch documentation (delivery challans, e-way bills, gate passes, packing lists)
is accurate and compliant.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work in close collaboration with the Procurement Team on purchase planning, vendor
deliveries, and material availability for stores.
• Partner with the Marketing & Sales Team to ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery
commitments to customers are met.
• Coordinate with the Production Team on material requirement planning and finished goods
readiness for dispatch.
• Liaise with the Quality Control Team on material inspection and rejection handling at
inbound and outbound stages.
5. Trade License Management & Regulatory Compliance
This role owns tracking and compliance oversight of all trade-related licenses and import/export
permissions. Filing and submission with DGFT and other authorities is handled by the head office;
this role ensures deadlines are met, obligations are fulfilled on time, and nothing falls through the
cracks at site level.
• Advance License (AL): Track all open advance licenses end-to-end — from import utilization
against each license to export obligation fulfillment within the stipulated timeframe.
Coordinate with the head office for timely DGFT closure. Maintain a live tracker of AL status,
quantities imported, exports fulfilled, and pending obligations.

• EPCG License: Monitor export obligations linked to duty-free capital equipment imported
under EPCG. Track the quantum of exports required per license, coordinate with marketing
and head office to ensure obligations are being met, and flag non-fulfillment risks well ahead
of deadlines.
• Ethanol Special Import Permission (SIP): Coordinate with the head office to ensure the
ethanol import permission is obtained before procurement is initiated. Track validity,
quantities permitted, and utilization against each permission.
• Any other DGFT, customs, or government licenses and permissions related to raw material
imports or export fulfillment obligations — ensure these are tracked, monitored, and acted
upon in coordination with the head office.
• Maintain a consolidated license and compliance tracker (in SAP B1 or a dedicated register)
giving real-time visibility to the Site Head and Deputy CFO on all open obligations, upcoming
deadlines, and closure status.
• Proactively escalate any risk of non-compliance, missed deadlines, or fulfillment shortfalls to
the Site Head and head office with sufficient lead time for corrective action.
6. SAP B1 & Systems Management
• Ensure all supply chain transactions are accurately and promptly recorded in SAP B1 —
GRNs, stock transfers, dispatches, and returns.
• Use SAP B1 reporting to monitor inventory levels, movement trends, and dispatch
performance; share regular dashboards with the Site Head.
• Drive discipline and adoption of SAP B1 across the stores and logistics team.
7. Team Leadership
• Directly manage three team leads: Engineering Stores In-Charge, FG / Dispatch In-Charge,
and Raw Material Stores In-Charge.
• Provide clear direction, accountability, and structured daily/weekly routines to the team.
• Identify training needs and build capability within the team to support the site's rapid scaling.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the supply
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Performance targets for this role will be defined and communicated separately. The following KRAs
indicate the areas against which this position will be measured.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or equivalent
technical discipline.
• MBA or Post-Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations Management is
preferred.
Experience
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehousing functions.
• Minimum 5 years in a site-based leadership role in a manufacturing environment, preferably
chemical or specialty chemical industry.
• Proven experience managing both inbound and outbound logistics operations, including
domestic road freight and international vessel/freight bookings.
• Experience overseeing multi-category stores (raw materials, engineering spares, finished
goods) in a plant setting.
• Working knowledge of DGFT trade licenses — Advance License, EPCG, and special import
permissions; experience tracking export obligations and coordinating with head office or
customs teams for license closure.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP; SAP B1 experience is a strong plus.

• All trade licenses (AL, EPCG, Ethanol SIP) are tracked on a live register with zero missed
deadlines or lapsed obligations.
• Team is structured, trained, and performing independently with clear KPI accountability.
• Site Head and cross-functional teams view Supply Chain as a reliable, proactive partner —
not a bottleneck.
