Overview

The Sr. Manager - Procurement (Direct Procurement, AtkinsRéalis India) is responsible for supervising the India-based AtkinsRéalis India team supporting delivery of the end‑to‑end Direct Procurement workflow for the Dubai/Middle East procurement function within the Central Procurement Office (CPO).

This role ensures that activities from RFP to PO/LOA are delivered accurately, on time, and in full compliance with established governance, control, and process standards.

The Sr. Manager - Procurement (Direct Procurement, AtkinsRéalis India) provides day‑to‑day service delivery oversight, team management, work allocation, quality control, and operational escalation management for the AtkinsRéalis India team, while overall accountability for procurement strategy, commercial decision-making, stakeholder ownership, and final approval authority remain with the Associate Director and relevant regional leadership.

Your role

  • Service Delivery Oversight of the Core Procurement Process
  • Coordinate and supervise delivery of Bid → RFP → Evaluation → Recommendation → Negotiation → PO/LOA steps across the AtkinsRéalis India team.
  • Ensure documentation, templates, approval workflows, and checklist standards are followed consistently and completely.
  • Provide hands‑on support, coaching, and issue resolution to enable consistent team performance and service continuity.
  • Monitor progress of procurement packages, manage operational bottlenecks, and escalate material risks, exceptions, or delays to the Associate Director in a timely manner.
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, task allocation, and workload balancing for a team of procurement professionals.
  • Monitor and review team outputs for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with required process standards.
  • Identify skill gaps, provide on-the-job coaching, support training needs, and contribute to capability development initiatives across the AtkinsRéalis India team.
  • Ensure consistent application of BMS (Bid Management System) processes, DOA/LOA rules, and procurement compliance requirements across team activities.
  • Coordinate preparation and organisation of audit evidence, track findings, and support timely closure of corrective actions within the AtkinsRéalis India team's scope.
  • Support continuous improvement activities, including lessons learned, root-cause review, and identification of opportunities to simplify or streamline processes.
  • Ensure team members use ERP/SRM systems correctly and maintain required
  • standards of data accuracy, completeness, and system hygiene.
  • Support framework agreement documentation, tracking, updates, and compliance monitoring within the AtkinsRéalis India team's delivery scope.
  • Maintain logs, trackers, dashboards, and reporting inputs required for operational visibility, governance reporting, and KPI monitoring.
  • Serve as the primary coordination point for routine operational queries from internal teams, including Bid, Commercial, Finance, and Operations.
  • Ensure stakeholders receive clear, timely instructions, documentation, status updates, and process timelines related to procurement activities managed by the AtkinsRéalis India team.
  • Escalate strategic, commercial, policy, or sensitive stakeholder matters to the Associate Director and/or relevant regional leadership for direction and resolution.
  • Manage intake, prioritisation, triage, and coordination of non‑standard or urgent procurement requests
  • Ensure each request meets minimum compliance, documentation, and governance requirements before progression for approval.
  • Work with the Associate Director to maintain alignment with category strategies, regional priorities, and broader CPO objectives.

About you

  • Experience in procurement, commercial, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience supervising others or coordinating a small team in a formal or informal leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement workflows, documentation requirements, service-delivery controls, and compliance processes.
  • Comfortable with ERP/SRM systems, procurement reporting, and data control requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and process discipline.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders in India and the Dubai/Middle East procurement function.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to improve processes, solve day‑to‑day operational issues, and maintain service continuity under changing priorities.

  • Positive stakeholder feedback on operational responsiveness, clarity, and service delivery.
  • Bachelor / Masters degree in Civil Engineering with 12 to 18 years of relevant experience in construction procurement.
  • Experience in standard contract forms (FIDIC, NEC, JCT)
  • Preferably a chartered professional (MRICS)
  • Client facing with excellent communication / Report writing / Presentation.
