About The Role
As a Senior Financial & Commercial Advisor, you will make an impact by serving as a key finance partner to deal teams, supporting complex opportunities across the deal lifecycle. In this senior individual contributor role, you will apply strong functional expertise in deal modeling, commercial structuring, and negotiation support while representing the financial perspective both internally and externally with clients and advisors.
In This Role, You Will
- Undertake comprehensive financial structuring and analysis of deals aligned with Cognizant's business objectives.
- Design and develop pricing models, evaluating deal P&L, cash flow metrics, financial viability, and return profiles across the bid lifecycle—from qualification through deal closure.
- Identify, assess, and highlight financial and commercial risks, ensuring visibility throughout the sales and approval process.
- Support deal teams across the sales cycle by analyzing opportunities and providing recommendations on deal‑specific financial strategies and solutions.
- Support the negotiation of financial and commercial terms to achieve Cognizant's business and financial objectives.
- Enable Cognizant to enter into contracts that deliver approved returns while addressing customer business drivers.
- Operate with objectivity and integrity, liaising with FP&A, Tax, Technical Accounting, and other stakeholders as required.
- Support preparation for and actively participate in internal deal governance and approval forums.
- Ensure compliance with Cognizant's processes, policies, and approved financial toolsets.
- Proactively inform the Pricing Lead of potential risks, issues, or open questions impacting deal outcomes.
- Participate in standard team meetings and contribute to deal coverage as required.
- Act as a coach and mentor to less experienced team members, supporting capability and knowledge development.
What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- Degree qualification and/or professional accounting qualification.
- 10 years of experience in pricing, deal finance, or sales support roles.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Work model
