SP Ultraflex Systems (P) Ltd is a four- decade old company that manufactures Flexible packaging and Converting machines for the Domestic and International markets.
The company specializes in Slitting Rewinding Machines and Inspection Rewinding/ Doctoring machines and is acknowledged as a market leader and trend setter in these domains.
The work environment comprises about 100 dedicated people working closely as a team with common aspirations to constantly effect improvements in products and customer support and thus retain its market leadership.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new machines, modules, or features based on functional requirements and technical objectives
- Develop concepts based on application understanding, not just CAD execution
- Perform detailed engineering calculations like:
1.Torque, power, and load analysis
2.Shaft and bearing selection
3.Structural strength and deflection
4.Tolerance stack-up analysis
- Prepare and own:
- 1.GA drawings
- 2.3D models
- 3.Manufacturing drawings
- 4.BOM accuracy and structure
- Perform design validation using
1.Engineering calculations (mandatory)
2.Material and manufacturing selection
3.Design analysis and logical validation
- Take ownership of design decisions and justify them with engineering reasoning
- Work closely with:
1.Automation team for system integration
2.Control logic understanding (will have an added advantage)
3.Production team to ensure DFM/DFA compliance
- Participate in machine trials, debugging, and root cause analysis
- Drive VAVE activities for performance improvement and cost optimization
- Handle design modifications (DMRs) with proper engineering validation
- Participate in design reviews, SOP adherence, and continuous improvement of design processes
- Guide and mentor junior engineers (not limited to drafting supervision)
- Interact with customers when required to understand application challenges and improve designs
Qualifications
B. Tech/B. E in Mechanical engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design (10 years preferred)
- Minimum 4 years MUST be in New Product Development (NPD) / R&D role
CTC : ₹10 - 11 LPA (Based on experience and skills)
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks & any 2D CAD software.
- Experienced in Material and Manufacturing process selection.
- Good in Machine structure design, Structural analysis and stress calculations.
- Expertise in mechanical design calculation and selection of bought out components.
- Experience in VAVE, DFM & DFA.
- Expertise in ISO/ASME Standards and Geometric tolerances.
- Good knowledge about ERP and PLM tool
- Having knowledge of Corel Draw will have an added advantage.
- Having knowledge of Animations in SolidWorks will have an added advantage
- Must be from machine building / capital equipment / heavy machinery industry
- Must demonstrate strong fundamentals in mechanical design (calculations + engineering logic)
