Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely / regular compliance under the Direct Taxation matters
- Preparation of quarterly tax provision calculation for all the companies
- Computation and payment of quarterly advance tax
- Maintenance of tax accounting in ERP
- Preparation and maintenance of Transfer Pricing documentation of the companies
- Preparation and filing of Tax Audit Report
- Preparation of computation of income for all the entities of the group and timely filing of return of income
- Preparation and filing of relevant forms required for Master File/ CbCR and BEPS Pillar 2
- Ensuring timely filing of return and other tax related forms of foreign entities
- Ensure compliance with POEM rules
- Review of agreements and advising necessary changes from tax standpoint
- Advising on direct tax related implications on account of various ongoing transactions
- Preparation and filing of SFT returns
- Ensure proper reconciliation of TDS deducted with 26AS form and follow up with customers / vendors
- Ensure compliance under the Direct Tax Laws, Lower deductions applications, Appeals, Tax Assessments, Restructuring and providing Tax Advisory pertaining to direct tax
- Analysis & Interpretation of laws under Direct Tax
- Coordination with Tax consultants, research, preparation and filing of submissions related to all assessments and drafting of appeals in relation to pending litigations
- Representation before Income Tax Authorities in relation to assessments or litigations including E Representation of the company or its subsidiaries before tax authorities
- Support in setting-up processes for any new compliance/ documentation requirement under Direct Tax law
- Ensure all compliances and notices are replied to in time. Prepare / review Submissions for assessments
- Discussion with Internal Auditors and Statutory Auditors relation to Direct tax matters
- Reporting and updates to senior management on various assessments, compliance
- Responsible for bringing automation and simplified structure for compliance
- Overseeing present practice of compliance and suggesting changes if required as per provisions
- Preparation of response for the tax assessment
- Ensure documentation is maintained properly for assessments
Educational Qualification & Experience:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (mandatory) with 4–8 years of experience in Direct Taxation, preferably in a large corporate/pharmaceutical/manufacturing setup.
