Position: Speech Therapist / Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist / Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for children with speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing difficulties.

The therapist will work closely with children, parents, educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals to improve communication skills, social interaction, and overall quality of life for children with developmental and neurological conditions.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Diagnosis
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing assessments.
  • Identify speech and language disorders, developmental delays, articulation issues, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and social communication challenges.
  • Develop individualized therapy goals and intervention plans.
Therapy & Intervention
  • Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy for children with:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Learning disabilities
  • Developmental delays
  • Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies where required.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document therapy progress regularly.
Parent & Caregiver Support
  • Educate and train parents/caregivers on home-based communication strategies.
  • Provide counselling and guidance to families to support carryover of therapy goals.
Collaboration & Inclusion
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special educators, psychologists, and medical professionals.
  • Participate in case discussions, intervention planning, and multidisciplinary reviews.
  • Support school readiness and inclusive education initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate therapy records, progress notes, assessment reports, and treatment plans.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports for families and partner institutions.
Community Outreach
  • Participate in awareness programs, camps, workshops, and rural outreach initiatives conducted by the organisation.
  • Promote awareness around communication disorders, early intervention, and inclusion.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Relevant certification/licensure as applicable.
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and community-based environment.
  • Knowledge of AAC tools and early intervention approaches is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Kannada and English preferred.
