Job Description

Company Description Bambino Therapy is a Bengaluru-based practice dedicated to supporting children's speech and language development in ways that honor their individuality and autonomy. The team focuses on communication as a means of connection and self-expression, rather than simply requesting or compliance. Bambino Therapy specializes in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), using child-led, play-based approaches instead of traditional compliance-based models. The practice is committed to presuming competence in every child and creating joyful, meaningful moments of communication. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based in Bengaluru. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children, using play-based, child-led therapy approaches aligned with GLP and AAC principles. Responsibilities include conducting individualized evaluations, developing and implementing evidence-informed treatment plans, and monitoring progress through regular sessions and documentation. The role involves collaborating closely with families and caregivers, providing training and support to encourage carryover of communication strategies at home and in school settings. The Speech Language Pathologist will participate in team discussions, contribute to program development, and maintain ethical, culturally responsive practice in line with Bambino Therapy's values.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and Speech, with experience delivering therapy to children in clinical or school-based settings.
  • Candidates should demonstrate expertise in assessing and treating Communication Disorders and Language Disorders, including the use of GLP and AAC where appropriate.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of Dysphagia management in pediatric populations or be willing to develop competency under supervision, where relevant.
  • Candidates should have excellent observation, documentation, and case management skills, with the ability to create individualized, play-based treatment plans.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with relevant national or state licensure/registration as required; prior pediatric experience is highly beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and family counseling skills, openness to neurodiversity-affirming practice, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Comfort with using AAC tools and technology, ongoing commitment to professional development, and proficiency in English; familiarity with local languages is an advantage.
