The Role
We're seeking a Social Media Marketing Specialist who brings both creative excellence and community-building expertise. You'll manage end-to-end social media presence for multiple client accounts—from strategy development to content creation, daily posting, active community engagement, and performance analysis.
This isn't about just posting content. This is for someone who:
- Thinks in content angles and narrative arcs, not just individual posts
- Understands that organic social builds genuine brand equity and loyal communities
- Can pivot seamlessly between lifestyle content for D2C brands and thought leadership for B2B clients
- Lives on the platforms, responds authentically, and knows what makes audiences engage
- Treats community management as an extension of brand building, not an afterthought
What You'll Do
Content Strategy & Creation (35%)
- Develop platform-specific strategies across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X, and Facebook for 4-6 client accounts
- Create original content: static posts, short-form video, reels, stories, carousels, and LinkedIn articles
- Maintain distinct brand voices across different industries and audiences
- Produce 60-100+ pieces of content monthly
- Design content calendars balancing promotional, educational, entertaining, and community-building content
Social Media Management & Posting (25%)
- Schedule and publish content across all platforms using management tools
- Monitor optimal posting times and adjust based on engagement patterns
- Manage daily posting workflows for multiple accounts
- Handle real-time content opportunities (trending topics, platform features)
- Maintain organized content libraries and asset systems
Community Engagement & Management (25%)
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across all platforms daily
- Build authentic relationships with followers and brand advocates
- Engage with relevant conversations, hashtags, and trending topics
- Interact with industry influencers, partners, and potential collaborators
- Escalate customer service issues and sales inquiries to appropriate teams
- Foster community through conversation starters and user-generated content celebration
- Manage sentiment and flag potential reputation issues
Analytics & Reporting (15%)
- Track organic KPIs: engagement rate, reach, impressions, follower growth, sentiment
- Build client dashboards and deliver weekly performance reports
- Conduct competitive analysis and social listening
- Use data to optimize content mix, posting times, and creative direction
- A/B test content formats, captions, and hashtags
- What You Bring
Required Experience
- 3-5 years managing organic social media for brands or at an agency
- Portfolio with creative range and engagement metrics across platforms
- Deep platform expertise: Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X
- Strong community management—responding to comments/DMs and building relationships
- Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with scheduling tools and native platform analytics
Creative & Strategic Skills
- Visual storytelling aligned with brand aesthetics
- Multi-format content mastery: feed posts, stories, reels, carousels, interactive content
- Copywriting that sparks conversation and drives engagement
- Trend awareness with authentic brand adaptation
- Community building instincts and platform algorithm understanding
Technical Proficiency (Preferred)
- Social media management and scheduling platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, Metricool) - preferred but not required
- Video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InShot, or mobile apps) - willingness to learn is acceptable
- Design tools: Canva (required), Adobe Creative Suite (preferred), Figma (bonus)
- Social listening and analytics tools (Brandwatch, Mention, Hootsuite Insights)
