Job Description

Position Title: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Bengaluru, India (Hybrid)

Department: HR

Reports to: Head of HR

Experience : 4-5 years

About Rize:

Rize (rize.farm) is a leading Agri-Tech startup uniquely positioned to build solutions that make rice cultivation more sustainable and improve farmer livelihoods in Asia. These sustainable solutions are urgently needed as rice cultivation is one of the largest polluting forms of agriculture globally. Formed through a joint venture between Temasek, Wavemaker Impact, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and GenZero, Rize's technology captures vital agricultural data essential for implementing sustainable farming practices. This makes rice farmers more climate-resilient, increases their crop yields, lowers costs, and facilitates efficient access to finance. Rize currently has operations in Indonesia and Vietnam and plans to expand further within the region. To expand, Rize is unlocking climate/green financing facilities to help serve more farmers in their transition to sustainable rice cultivation. Rize has recently received substantial global media attention, acknowledging our efforts in this journey. Please read more here: Bloomberg, Business Insider, DealStreetAsia.

What are we building:

We are developing a platform that will help our field operations team to effectively manage their task, capture cultivation logs from million-plus hectares of paddy fields, effectively manage the supply chain of agri-inputs, and aggregate third-party services required during the lifecycle of paddy fields.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who thrives in high-pressure, high-growth environments. This role is designed for a recruiter who has mastered the basics and is now ready to take on a more strategic Consultant role within the business.

You will be the primary point of contact for Senior Leadership, managing high-priority tech pipelines and driving our vendor strategy. We are looking for a professional with a strong bias for action—someone who doesn't wait for instructions but proactively solves hiring roadblocks using data and the latest AI tools.

  • Leadership Partnership: Act as a talent advisor to Senior Managers and Department Heads. You will lead intake meetings, calibrate roles, and provide on-the-ground market data to influence hiring decisions.
  • Vendor Management: Act as the primary lead for external recruitment partners. You will select, onboard, and manage the performance of agencies to ensure they deliver high-quality pipelines on time.
  • AI-Driven Sourcing: Move beyond basic LinkedIn searches. You will utilize AI tools (for sourcing, automated outreach, and screening) to optimize the funnel and increase recruiter productivity.
  • Indian Tech Market Mastery: Navigate the nuances of the Indian tech landscape. You should understand the difference between Tier-1 product talent and service-firm transitions, and know how to sell our vision in a competitive market.
  • Solution-Oriented Execution: When a role is hard to fill, you provide solutions (e.g., skill-mapping, compensation benchmarking, or process tweaks) rather than just reporting a low pipeline.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle for complex tech roles, ensuring a fast, transparent, and respectful candidate experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4–5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally within a fast-paced Indian startup or a product-tech company.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and hold them accountable to hiring timelines and feedback loops.
  • Vendor Coordination: Previous experience managing 3rd party search firms or agencies.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Indian tech talent pool, including current salary trends, notice period complexities, and competitor landscapes.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency with modern ATS platforms and a proven interest in using AI-powered tools to automate manual tasks.
  • Mindset: A Bias for Action—you are self-driven, resourceful, and prioritize results over processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to working in multi-country setup
  • Understanding of local labor markets and startup talent dynamics.
  • Interest in learning and contributing to wider HR initiatives.

What We Offer:

  • A collaborative, fast-moving environment where execution and learning go hand in hand.
  • Opportunities to partner closely with hiring managers and shape how we attract great talent.
  • Room to grow your recruitment career as the organization scales.
