Role Description The Senior Sales Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The person in this role will lead sales activities for analytical instruments, including prospecting new clients, nurturing relationships with existing customers, and managing key accounts in pharmaceuticals, chemical, food, and research sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting product presentations and demonstrations, understanding customer application needs, preparing quotations and commercial proposals, and negotiating terms to close deals. The role also involves coordinating with technical and service teams for installations and after-sales support, maintaining accurate sales records and forecasts, and participating in industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to build market presence. The Senior Sales Executive is expected to contribute to sales strategy, provide market feedback on competitors and trends, and meet or exceed assigned revenue and growth targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in B2B sales, business development, and key account management within scientific, analytical instruments, or related technical industries.
  • Solid understanding of laboratory analytical technologies (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, XRD, Raman, gas generation) and ability to learn new product lines quickly.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, customer-focused language.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute territory sales activities, manage pipelines and forecasts, and work toward defined sales targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field (such as Chemistry, Physics, Instrumentation, or Electronics); an MBA or management qualification is an advantage.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, basic MS Office applications, and reporting of sales metrics and market insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, travel as required within the region, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and service teams.
