We are looking for a self-motivated, enterprising sales professional who can drive revenue across diverse industry segments while effectively managing customer accounts

Role Summary

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and business development of industrial imaging cameras, lenses, lighting, and complete vision solutions across key sectors including Industrial Automation, Defence & Aerospace, and Government R&D Centers. The role involves managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and working closely with technical teams to deliver customized imaging solutions to customers

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for industrial cameras, machine vision lenses, lighting systems, and imaging solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in industrial automation, defence & aerospace, and government R&D organizations.
  • Manage and grow relationships with OEMs, system integrators, end-users, and government institutions.
  • Handle the complete sales cycle including lead generation, technical discussions, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closures.
  • Collaborate with application engineers and technical teams to understand customer requirements and propose optimal imaging solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations for customers.
  • Prepare and submit commercial proposals, tenders, RFQs, and bids, especially for government and defence projects.
  • Track sales pipeline, forecasts, and achieve assigned revenue and growth targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in machine vision and imaging.
  • Ensure timely coordination for order processing, delivery, and post-sales support.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, seminars, and customer visits to promote products and solutions.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in Engineering Sales, with the ability to understand and communicate technical product details effectively
  • Ability to engage in technical sales discussions with engineers, scientists, and decision-makers
  • Experience handling defence, aerospace, and government R&D customers is highly preferred
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with tendering processes, government procurement, and compliance requirements
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related field).
  • MBA or formal sales/marketing training is an added advantage.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in machine vision, industrial automation, or related field
