The IN Marketing team at Amazon India is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and seasoned performance marketer with deep channel expertise and strong stakeholder management skills. This individual contributor role demands strategic thinking, end-to-end ownership, and the ability to influence without authority across multiple business and channel teams.
The Senior Marketing Manager will own the performance marketing charter for Amazon's new business initiatives such as quick-commerce, Low ASP offerings and non-retail business etc. across Outbound (Push, WhatsApp), Mobile Growth (App Installs), and Paid channels (Google, Meta, Associates). The role requires building 0-to-1 playbooks, defining scalable mechanisms, and driving measurable business outcomes through cross-functional leadership.
This role provides an opportunity to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to think big while delivering results at speed, earning trust across senior stakeholders, and raising the bar on operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Ownership
1. Define and own the performance marketing strategy for new Amazon business verticals, translating ambiguous business goals into structured marketing plans with clear KPIs and success metrics
2. Develop long-term channel roadmaps (6-12 months) for each business initiative, identifying growth levers, investment priorities, and resource requirements
3. Influence channel managers and business leaders to align on shared goals, timelines, and accountability frameworks
4. Identify whitespace opportunities through competitive benchmarking, customer insights, and data-driven analysis to unlock new growth vectors

Tactical Execution & Mechanism Building
1. Build performance marketing supports playbooks from scratch for each business Ã- channel combination, documenting best practices, escalation paths, and success criteria
2. Develop scalable SOPs and mechanisms in coordination with channel managers and business team stakeholders ensuring repeatability and reducing dependency on tribal knowledge
3. Conceptualize, execute, and continually improve end-to-end performance marketing campaigns across personalized channels (Push, Email, WhatsApp), Mobile App Growth channels (Google, Meta, Snapchat, Programmatic), and Automated Performance channels.
4. Drive automation and personalization at scale to support campaigns for new business initiatives across key events and engagement marketing

Data-Driven Decision Making
1. Manage customer engagement metrics including first purchase, repeat purchase, cross-category purchase, retention, and reactivation for new businesses
2. Identify valuable trends and opportunities through data analysis, customer journey mapping, funnel-based (drip marketing) nudges, and customer segmentation
3. Establish measurement frameworks, WBRs, and reporting cadences to track channel performance and business impact with clear input/output metric decomposition
4. Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, A/B testing, and post-campaign analysis with documented learnings

Cross-Functional Leadership
1. Partner with 5+ cross-functional teams (channel managers, business teams, product, analytics, creative) to align on campaign calendars, performance targets, and resource allocation
2. Earn trust with senior stakeholders by delivering consistent results, proactive communication, and transparent escalation of risks

A day in the life
As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for forming playbooks for new business initiative support on performance marketing channels. You'll conceptualize, execute, and continually improve end-to-end performance marketing campaigns across personalized channels (Push, Email, WhatsApp), Mobile App Growth channels (Google, Meta, Snapchat, Programmatic), and Automated Performance channels (Meta, Google Search).
With a particular emphasis on driving automation and personalization at scale, you'll support and drive campaigns for new businesses, key events, and engagement marketing.
Your day will involve identifying valuable trends/opportunities through data analysis, mapping the customer journey through funnel-based nudges, defining customer segmentation, and ideating and executing marketing plans. You'll coordinate closely with channel managers to ensure seamless execution and scalable impact for Amazon's newest business verticals.

About the team
The Amazon India Performance Marketing team is responsible for overseeing the business and product charter for our key traffic-driving channels. On the business front, we own the management of the channel's contribution to site revenue, customer growth (acquisition, settlement, and reactivation) which we achieve by driving traffic through Mobile Growth (App Installs, Retention), Personalized (Push, Email, WhatsApp), Automated Performance Marketing channels (Google, Meta), and Associates network on a daily basis.
Even at this scale, we deliver simple and intuitive experiences to customers owing to complex automation capabilities and sophisticated marketing products. The team operates at the intersection of technology, data science, and marketing to drive measurable business outcomes for Amazon India. Basic Qualifications

- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
- MBA
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
