- Storage & backup operations
- Manage Isilon and NAS shares used by applications
- Maintain retention
- Execute snapshot schedules
- Performance & capacity
- Respond to disk IO/latency and write/read time alerts on hosts/backup mounts flagged by Dynatrace
- Compute maintenance: Patching windows, VM/storage expansions, and general infra RITMs
- Monitor daily backup jobs, replication tasks, and backup infrastructure health.
- Remotely troubleshoot common failures such as:
- Job failures
- Storage capacity issues
- Network connectivity problems
- Agent/plug in errors
- Perform routine operational tasks:
- Backup job configuration and scheduling
- Restore requests for files, VMs, databases, and applications
- Tape management (if applicable)
- Backup policy updates
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Communicate incident updates and ensure SLA compliance.
- Any physical intervention/issues which cannot be resolved remotely will be handled by Onsite Synovus Team or by vendor coordination
