Primary Purpose: The Architect will be responsible for designing and planning a variety of real estate projects, from residential developments to commercial spaces. This role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, and engineers to ensure that designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet all regulatory requirements.
Key Activities (Critical activities of the job)
- Concept Development: Create innovative design concepts that align with client needs and project objectives.
- Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed architectural drawings and specifications using CAD software and other design tools.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, landscape architects, and contractors, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on project progress and design adjustments.
- Project Management: Assist in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
- Site Analysis: Conduct site assessments to evaluate environmental conditions, site constraints, and opportunities for design integration.
- Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design practices and materials into architectural solutions to promote environmental responsibility.
Qualification:
Prior Experience:
- Minimum 8+years of experience and delivering responsibilities of Architectural role in real estate industry.
Expected Competencies/Personality Attributes:
- Licensed Architect (or in the process of obtaining licensure Proficient in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
