Senior SAP Hybris / Commerce Cloud Developer – E-commerce Platform

Chennai (on-site)

Note: relevant in SAP Hybris 3yrs, total 5-10yrs

*Experience:*

5+ years in SAP Hybris/Commerce Cloud development and 8+ years overall software engineering.

*Key Requirements:*

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

Deep hands-on experience with Hybris modules: Core, Backoffice, OCC, Spartacus (Angular storefront), Order Management, Pricing, and Promotions.

Proven work on scalable e-commerce features such as fast checkout flows, real-time inventory, personalized experiences, cart management, and search.

Solid skills in REST API development, SQL databases, Solr/Elasticsearch, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience tuning performance for high-volume sites handling thousands of orders per minute with low latency.

*Main Responsibilities:*

Design, customize, and extend the Hybris platform to power a modern e-commerce website.

Build and maintain Spartacus-based storefronts while integrating backend services for seamless customer journeys.

Develop custom extensions, workflows, and integrations with payments, logistics, ERP, and other systems.

Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.

Participate in code reviews, follow best practices, and support deployments on cloud infrastructure.

*Nice to Have:*

SAP Commerce Cloud certification.

Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, or Kubernetes.

Frontend skills in TypeScript and Angular.
