Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and modern ABAP development practices.
  • Develop and optimize ABAP CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA SQL-based solutions.
  • Work on SAP S/4HANA implementation and development projects.
  • Develop solutions using SAP BTP and modern SAP development frameworks.
  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration components.
  • Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/SAPUI5 applications, OData services, and Fiori Elements.
  • Work with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • Design and implement integrations using BAPI, BADI, IDOC, RFC, User Exits, Web Services, and APIs.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and application optimization.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Functional Consultants, and other technical teams.
  • Follow best practices related to Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure coding.
  • Ensure proper SAP authorization checks and security practices in ABAP developments.
  • Evaluate and adopt new SAP technologies to improve application performance and development efficiency.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong expertise in SAP ABAP.
  • Hands-on experience with ABAP CDS Views.
  • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Implementation.
  • Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects and modern ABAP syntax.
  • Experience with AMDP and HANA SQL Programming.
  • Hands-on experience with ABAP performance tuning and optimization.
  • Experience in SAP integrations using BAPI, BADI, IDOC, RFC, APIs, and Web Services.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP Fiori/SAPUI5.
  • Experience developing OData Services and Fiori Elements.
  • Knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • Experience with SAP BTP CAP/CAPM.
  • Knowledge of API Management platforms such as Apigee.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts.

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to design scalable and high-performance SAP solutions.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.
