Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Chennai. The Sales Manager will lead and develop a team of sales professionals and agents to achieve growth targets for health and allied insurance products. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategies, driving new customer acquisition, and nurturing long-term relationships with customers, channel partners, and bancassurance partners. The role involves monitoring sales performance, analyzing market trends, preparing reports, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with branch operations, underwriting, and customer service teams to support high-quality customer experiences and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in insurance, financial services, or related sectors, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and people-management skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and develop diverse sales teams and agent networks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage customers, agents, and partners professionally.
  • Solid understanding of sales planning, pipeline management, and basic sales analytics to track performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Familiarity with health insurance products and regulatory guidelines is highly desirable; willingness to learn product and compliance requirements is essential.
  • Comfort using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and digital platforms for reporting, lead management, and sales tracking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chennai, travel within the assigned region as needed, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
