Role Description The Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for driving new business and expanding Legalinsimple's client base among startups and MSMEs. In this position, the Sales Executive identifies prospects, conducts outreach via calls, emails, and meetings, and presents LIS service offerings in legal, audit, compliance, and advisory domains. The role includes qualifying leads, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing deals in collaboration with advisory and operations teams. The Sales Executive maintains accurate records in CRM or sales tracking tools, follows up on inquiries, and ensures a smooth handover of new clients to service teams. Daily responsibilities also involve market research, building long-term relationships, attending client meetings or events, and contributing feedback to improve sales strategies and service offerings.
Qualifications

  • Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and deal closure.
  • Client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex services clearly and build trust with startup and MSME clients.
  • Basic understanding or interest in legal, audit, compliance, and professional advisory services, with willingness to learn domain-specific concepts.
  • Organizational and reporting skills, including use of CRM tools, maintenance of accurate records, and preparation of sales reports and proposals.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chennai, travel locally for client meetings as needed, and collaborate effectively with internal advisory and operations teams.
  • Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in consulting, professional services, finance, or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with a focus on ethical conduct, customer satisfaction, and long-term client retention.
