Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technical sales, pre-sales consultation, account management, and business development. The candidate should be ready to join within 30 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sales & Consultation (Pre-Sales)
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customer applications to understand their specific needs.
- Recommend suitable hand tools and tool storage solutions from the product portfolio.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver technical product demonstrations and presentations.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering teams for customization.
- Prepare accurate and compelling sales proposals and quotes.
- Account Management & Business Development
- Identify and prospect for new business opportunities within assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales and profitability targets.
- Provide technical sales support and training to distributor sales forces.
- Market & Product Expertise
- Stay abreast of industry trends and customer tooling requirements.
- Collect and relay market feedback to Product Management and R&D teams.
- Provide training to the internal sales team and partners.
- Post-Sales & Service
- Act as a technical escalation point for post-sale issues.
- Assist the service team with troubleshooting and warranty claims.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 1.5 - 2 years of experience in technical sales or a sales engineering role.
- In-depth knowledge of hand tools and experience in related industries.
- Strong understanding of tool materials, heat treatment, and industry standards.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a technical B2B environment.
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)
- Certification in a relevant area (e.g., Six Sigma, specific tooling applications).
- Experience with a major hand tool or power tool brand.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
