Job Description – Associate Resource Manager
Position Title: Associate Resource Manager

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Resource Manager to handle enterprise-wide resource planning, staffing, deployment, capacity management, and workforce optimization across projects and business units. The role will act as the central point of coordination between Business Heads, Delivery Leaders, Project Managers, HR, Talent Acquisition, and stakeholders to ensure the right talent is deployed at the right time while maximizing utilization and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Planning & Allocation
• Own and drive end-to-end resource planning, allocation, and deployment across all projects and business units.
• Ensure timely staffing of projects based on skill requirements, experience, business priorities, customer expectations, and geographical considerations.
• Manage resource allocations, de-allocations, transfers, and redeployments across accounts, service lines, and delivery units.
• Maintain complete visibility of resource availability, utilization, deployment status, and future staffing requirements.
• Optimize resource utilization while balancing project commitments and business objectives.
Demand Planning & Fulfillment
• Establish and govern the organization's resource demand management process.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Engagement Managers, and Business Heads to understand current and future resource requirements.
• Build and maintain demand forecasts based on project pipelines, account growth plans, and business opportunities.
• Drive proactive staffing strategies to ensure timely fulfillment of project demands.
• Manage demand prioritization and streamline demand intake processes while minimizing ad-hoc requests.
• Track fulfillment metrics and ensure staffing requests are closed within agreed timelines.
Workforce Forecasting & Capacity Management
• Develop short-term and long-term workforce plans aligned with business growth objectives.
• Monitor demand versus supply and identify resource gaps proactively.
• Create capacity planning models to support future project needs and business expansion.
• Provide recommendations on hiring, cross-utilization, and workforce optimization strategies.
• Support leadership with workforce analytics and forecasting insights for informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Management
• Partner with Business Heads, Delivery Leaders, Account Managers, Project Managers, and HR teams to align workforce plans with business priorities.
• Conduct regular governance meetings to review project staffing, utilization, upcoming demands, and resource availability.
• Serve as the key point of contact for all resource management and staffing-related discussions.
• Influence staffing decisions through data-driven recommendations and workforce insights.
Talent Pipeline & Recruitment Coordination
• Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition teams to address staffing gaps and critical skill requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews with recruitment teams to monitor hiring pipelines and fulfillment progress.
• Provide visibility into upcoming demand and hiring priorities.
• Ensure alignment between business requirements and recruitment strategies.
Resource Capability & Workforce Readiness Management
• Partner with business leaders, HR, and learning teams to identify skill gaps and future capability requirements.
• Maintain a centralized inventory of skills, competencies, certifications, and resource availability.
• Drive workforce readiness through upskilling, reskilling, and cross-skilling initiatives aligned with business needs.
• Support resource rotations across projects, business units, and geographies to enhance employee growth and organizational flexibility.
• Ensure availability of critical skills for current and future business demands.
Resource Governance & Operational Excellence
• Define and continuously improve resource management processes, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Build and maintain resource databases, staffing dashboards, utilization reports, and forecasting models.
• Ensure compliance with organizational staffing guidelines and allocation processes.
• Drive operational excellence through process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
• Develop and publish regular reports and dashboards covering resource utilization, allocation status, demand pipeline, fulfillment metrics, forecast accuracy, capacity planning, hiring pipeline status, resource availability, and workforce analytics.
• Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
