Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager, Asia/Pacific, to grow the region by managing direct reports (TMs) and capturing new business across end users, OEMs, EPCs, distributors, and vessel operators. This position will build commercial strategies tailored to aquaculture (mooring systems, netting solutions), offshore energy (lifting, subsea, offshore wind), and marine/shipping (mooring, towing, cargo handling).

Key Job Responsibilities

Sales & Strategy

Meet or exceed regional incoming order budgets and margin expectations.

Ensure Cortland International resources (Engineering, Client Fullfillment, Marketing) are aligned with market opportunity.

Guide customers, prospects, and channel partners in identifying technical solutions using both industry expertise and product knowledge.

Oversee territory and key account planning, qualification of prospects, and proactive management of channel conflicts.

Anticipate industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitor actions; integrate findings into strategic account planning.

Operations & Finance

Deliver accurate orders forecasting by SKU and channel partner, ensuring quota attainment.

Manage funnel size, hit ratios, and territory plans to maximize win rates and attractive wallet share gain.

Drive disciplined account planning with Territory Managers (TMs) to minimize churn and capture high-margin growth opportunities.

Establish regional strategic plans aligned to best-in-class channels to market, integrating closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs) for end market deployment.

People Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop Territory Managers, ensuring weekly one-on-ones and monthly in-field ride-alongs for coaching.

Identify and address training needs, especially for new hires.

Actively onboard and mentor new TMs, instilling discipline in daily tactical execution and long-term planning.

Partner with BDMs to execute end-market strategies and ensure alignment across aquaculture, offshore energy, and marine/shipping growth initiatives.

Cultivate technical and market knowledge to position yourself and your team as trusted experts in engineered synthetic solutions.

Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at major regional accounts.
