We are seeking a Quality Manager for our Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Last Mile Delivery Team.
The successful candidate has last mile logistics experience, an interest in and ability to work and think analytically, and manage all the aspects of multi-disciplinary projects and programs.
Key job responsibilities
Drive under-the-roof operational excellence initiatives to systematically reduce defects and improve operational efficiency across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery stations. Implement data-driven approaches to identify root causes of operational failures and deploy sustainable solutions.
Continuous Improvement & Standardization
2. Lead continuous improvement projects and drive standardization of best practices across AMZL sites. Champion the adoption of proven processes and methodologies to ensure consistent operational performance, reduce variability, and scale successful innovations across the network.
3. Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and pain points. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to produce white papers with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
4. Deliver end-to-end continuous improvement programs, projects, and initiatives that drive measurable business impact. Develop and produce comprehensive metrics and reports that lead to performance improvement and operational transparency. Lead Kaizen events and conduct auditing activities to ensure proper process implementation, adherence to standard work, and sustainability of improvements.
5. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across organization to understand and evaluate business priorities, define shared opportunities and requirements, and establish effective information-sharing mechanisms. Work alongside stakeholders to define and execute innovative solutions that enhance customer experience while influencing outcomes both with and without direct authority.
About the team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles Last Mile delivery duties in partnership with multiple stakeholders. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products delivered to our customers.
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
