Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes within the organization. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, conducting inspections, and maintaining quality documentation to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier quality document reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Create inspection plans as per standard requirement for part inspection at incoming quality.
- Familiarity and understanding of product drawings, measuring instruments and techniques to assess product quality.
- Perform quality document checks for received parts and identify nc's, defects in documentation and ensure product integrity.
- Validate review quality inspection certificates, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, etc.
- Handle supplier complaints effectively and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to QMS standards and ISO 9001/IATF requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities, including 8D and Why-Why analysis.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction from UGC recognized university,
- 1-2 years of experience in Product and Supplier Quality related field preferably from Tier 2 or Tier 1 industry.
- Good knowledge of incoming quality, process quality, and supplier quality.
- Familiarity with technical documents such as PPAP, FMEA, WI's, SPC, MSA, and 8D Reports.
- Understanding of various norms and standards (DIN, ISO, EN, AISI, ASME, EU, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Pwerpoint, Outlook, etc).
- Basic knowledge of the German language A2 is a plus.
