About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and compliance. The role requires hands-on involvement in quality control processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Assurance
- Oversee end-to-end quality control processes across raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
- Conduct routine quality checks and inspections to ensure product consistency
- Develop and implement quality standards, SOPs, and control procedures
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and ensure adherence to food safety standards
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, hygiene, and food safety regulations
- Maintain and implement systems like HACCP, GMP, and GHP
- Handle documentation and records related to audits and compliance
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure implementation
Vendor & Raw Material Quality
- Evaluate and approve vendors based on quality standards
- Conduct raw material inspections and ensure specifications are met
- Work closely with procurement to maintain consistent quality supply
Audits & Documentation
- Prepare for and manage internal and external audits
- Maintain quality reports, checklists, and compliance documentation
- Identify gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Process Improvement
- Identify quality issues and drive root cause analysis
- Implement corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce defects
- Work closely with production teams to improve processes and efficiency
Team Coordination
- Train production staff on quality standards and hygiene practices
- Ensure adherence to SOPs across all teams
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for quality-related improvements
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (preferably in food industry)
- Strong knowledge of FSSAI regulations, HACCP, GMP, GHP
- Experience in audits, documentation, and compliance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset
