QA Underwriting

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth review of mortgage loan files: income, assets, credit, and collateral
• Utilize loan operating systems for accurate data entry
• Underwrite loans according to client guidelines using AUS (DU/LP) or manual processes
• Evaluate loan documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Identify and clear red flags or issues in loan files
• Issue loan decisions and manage file conditions
• Approve conditions for compliance and file completion
• Provide guidance to processors and loan officers regarding underwriting decisions
• Maintain current knowledge of client and investor requirements
• Resolve pre- and post-closing underwriting issues
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients
• Work effectively under stress while meeting production targets
• Flexibility to work more than 40 hours/week as needed
