Job Description

Company Description

Raksha Foundation, through its initiatives Raksha Animal Welfare Center and Raksha Children Education Center, is dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and caring for stray dogs and cats. The foundation is committed to protection, compassion, and providing essential resources for vulnerable communities. By fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy, Raksha Foundation works towards building a better future for both children and animals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily surgery scheduling and oversee pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient care protocols end-to-end
  • Plan and execute community vaccination drives including logistics, cold chain management, and outcome tracking
  • Lead OPD flow, inpatient ward rounds, discharge, and bed capacity planning across the center
  • Manage and mentor a small team of paravet staff, technicians, and volunteers through rosters and training
  • Produce weekly and monthly ops reports and donor-facing impact summaries with key program metrics

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating surgical workflows or clinical programs in an animal care setting
  • Proven ability to manage small teams and cross-functional programs in resource-constrained environments
  • Strong written reporting skills with comfort tracking numbers and presenting outcomes clearly
  • Proficiency in basic digital tools — Google Sheets, email, and field coordination via WhatsApp

Experience

  • 3–7 years in animal welfare, veterinary support, shelter operations, or a clinical animal care role
  • Hands-on exposure to ABC/TNR surgical programs or high-volume animal clinic coordination
  • Experience running or supporting community vaccination or field health programs in urban or peri-urban contexts
  • Prior involvement in donor reporting, impact documentation, or stakeholder communication is a strong plus
  • Background in NGO, trust, or nonprofit operations preferred — understands mission-first culture

You are someone who

  • Puts patient care before everything
  • Thrives in organized chaos
  • Keeps records
  • Leads with calm and clarity
  • Mission-driven, not clock-driven
  • Naturally empathetic with animals and people
  • Can run a plan and adapt on the fly
  • Genuinely loves animals
  • Comfortable with donors and field teams alike
  • Sees reporting as accountability, not admin
