About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Controller to join our fast-growing SaaS/startup organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, financial planning acumen, and operational finance experience, ideally within a high-growth, tech-driven environment. You will play a critical role in scaling our finance function, ensuring compliance, and enabling strategic decisions through accurate reporting and forecasting.

What You'll Do:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS/IFRS.
    • Manage statutory audits, tax filings (direct & indirect), and regulatory compliance (MCA, GST, TDS, etc.).
    • Maintain internal control systems and accounting policies.
    • Basic understanding and experience of Transfer Pricing
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management
    • Monitor cash flows, manage working capital, and optimize fund utilization.
    • Liaise with banks and financial institutions for credit lines, investments, and treasury operations.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
    • Streamline and automate accounting and finance operations, including expense management, revenue recognition, and billing.
    • Implement and improve ERP/finance systems like Zoho, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
  • Strategic Partnering
    • Support strategic initiatives like pricing, cost optimization, fundraising, and M&A due diligence.
    • Provide financial models and decision-support tools for product and growth teams.
  • Team Management (if applicable)
    • Supervise junior accountants or finance associates, ensuring accuracy and accountability in daily operations.
Who You Are:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a startup or SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS), tax regulations, and compliance.
  • Experience with SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn) is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and finance ERPs.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup culture.
