Production Support Engineer

Mandatory Skillset:

• Unix/Linux
• Shell scripting and Python programming
• Oracle database with PL/SQL expertise
• Kubernetes orchestration (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)
• AutoSys job scheduling experience
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS)
• Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace (or equivalent)
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and Git version control

Direct Responsibilities

This position is for Application production support role for CEFS domain

Candidate need to provide SRE/Application production support of JAVA based application with below technology.

Unix/Linux

Shell Script/Python

Oracle/PL SQL

Dynatrace/other monitoring

Basic Devops & GIT Overview

Candidate should be ready to work in shifts and over weekends for major maintenance activities

Production Support for CEFS applications

Investigate & resolve problems related to problems in existing systems in order to ensure smooth functioning of IT systems

Liaise with ITIP/Infrastructure teams to ensure proper system configurations and hardware performance efficiencies

Provide support in shifts(24x7), on call support for weekday/weekend support & special support for ISPL holidays (on need basis)

Implement & follow APS processes for Production Incidents, Service Requests, Problem Management, and Change Requests.

Contribute towards ensuring DR readiness of all production applications

Contribute towards resolving Hardware, Software & Application related security vulnerabilities

Manage housekeeping, upgrades, installation, backup/restore & adherence to DR plans so as to ensure smooth functioning of existing systems
