Job Description

We are seeking a driven, motivated, and well-organized PMO Manager to join our global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of a project portfolio, implementation of portfolio management software, and overseeing resource allocation. This role requires strong leadership in managing project controllers and planners, ensuring on-time delivery of PMO deliverables, and enhancing internal management reporting frameworks to achieve project goals effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of a portfolio of projects.
  • Drive the implementation of a Portfolio Management software.
  • Oversee Resource Management across projects.
  • Implement, support, and act as an interface for an internal management reporting framework to effectively accomplish project goals.
  • Responsible for the on-time submission of all PMO deliverables.
  • Manage a team of project controllers/planners who handle entire project lifecycles, including project scoping, planning, budgeting, monitoring, tracking, progress reporting, resource management/allocation, and summary of costs incurred.
  • Set up and manage project support functions covering planning, tracking, reporting, and internal communication.
  • Maintain and update project plans, resource availability records, milestone summaries, key issues, risks, and benefits.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers from different geographical locations on a regular basis to facilitate PMO functions.
  • Identify key performance indicators for reporting and alerting project stakeholders.
  • Identify avenues to automate PMO processes and implement them with suitable technology tools.
  • Develop and maintain plans, and communicate and track risk issues associated with planned and committed dates.
  • Monitor critical resource levels across functional areas required to support projects.
  • Schedule meetings with various teams to collect and communicate project status concerning operations, data quality, and change management.
  • Coordinate with finance controllers/account administrators to ensure project invoices are accurately prepared and timely submitted.
  • Analyze and synthesize key project information for Project Managers.
  • Provide guidance and support to facilitate the accurate setup, performance, and reporting of projects.
  • Complete Work Breakdown Structures to accurately estimate effort required for each task.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in the implementation of portfolio projects.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Familiarity with the S-Curve concept as a tool for monitoring project progress.
  • Proficient in MS Project and Excel.
  • Ability to manage project documentation repositories.
