PIPING STRESS ENGINEER
Job Location: Chennai & Bangalore
Years of experience required: 8 to 15 Years
Summary of the position
Perform the stress analysis of lines related to static and rotating equipment, air coolers, heaters, etc. by using Caesar II software. Locate, design and modelling support various piping system and perform the required calculations.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities of the role
- Strong stress analysis concepts and be able to solve critical stress and nozzle load Issues
- Strong piping support design concepts
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision and work effectively as a team member on all assignments.
- Familiar with the ASME, API and other industry related standards
- Calculate and estimated piping loads on piping racks, structures, vessel platforms.
- Create stress analysis isometrics including all required data for support definition
- Calculate and select variable and constant spring hanger
- Knowledge of pipe support, including use of snubbers, rigid studs, spring sway braces.
- Prepare Requisition for Inquiry/ Purchase and Technical tabulation of piping support elements, such
- Prepare piping stress analysis reports considering project specifications
- Perform drawings by using 2D CAD software for non-standard supports
- Selection of clips on equipment's
