- Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture and fingersticks on patients of all ages to obtain blood samples.
- Patient Care: Identify patients correctly, explain procedures, and ensure comfort during the process.
- Labeling and Handling: Accurately label, transport, and document specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a sterile, safe work area, following strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Administrative Tasks: Review test requisitions, maintain inventory of supplies, and input patient data into computer systems.
