Job Description:

HR and Payroll Administration- collaborate with payroll, site administration and HR team members to ensure efficiency and organization of employee payroll, statuses, and files.

-Pre-Payroll and post payroll activities like preparing reports, Check tracking etc.

-Analyze payroll issues and provide resolutions.

-Responsible for Running off Cycle / on cycle Payroll in workday, validation of error reports and pay calc complete.

-Do research on mismatch and discrepancies related to client data.

-Handling email queries and Escalations.

-Terminations - Deactivating the accounts of Inactive retirees.

-Working on Separations and Final pay of employees.

-working on TDS Reports.

-Process all HR related invoices and submit for payment.

-Produce monthly OT and Leave reports.

-Enter and verify all vacation and flex days.

-Prepare monthly and quarterly vacation metrics.

-Having worked on Canadian payroll is an added advantage.

-Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

-Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.

-Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

-Proficient with payroll software like ADP & Workday

Review timecards and provide support to sites for payroll processing.

Ensure that weekly accrual import is complete.

Other duties as assigned.

May be required to assist others in HR Team with projects or occasional increased workload.

Qualifications - Education and Experience:

At least 3 years related experience.

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in a unionized health care environment.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Broad general knowledge of payroll, benefits, compensation programs and documentation

Knowledge of BC and Alberta employment standards, wage, salary, benefits, and pension laws and regulations an asset

Should have experience in international payroll

Should be comfortable working in night shift
