Role Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational functions of the event management company. This includes managing event teams, developing operational processes, ensuring efficient vendor coordination, maintaining budgets, and ensuring high-quality event delivery. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight to ensure seamless execution of multiple events simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Process Management

  • Develop and implement operational strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for event execution.
  • Oversee planning and execution of multiple events through operations teams.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between creative, production, logistics, and client servicing teams.
  • Improve operational efficiency and scalability of event processes.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage event operations teams including event managers, coordinators, and logistics staff.
  • Allocate resources and manpower across events.
  • Conduct performance reviews and training for the operations team.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, production vendors, logistics partners, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to optimize costs.
  • Ensure vendor performance and service quality.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Manage event operational budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Monitor expenses, approvals, and financial reporting for events.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through operational efficiencies.

Event Delivery Oversight

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of events.
  • Monitor event timelines, logistics planning, and risk management.
  • Handle escalation and crisis management during events.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Support the client servicing team in operational planning.
  • Attend key client meetings to align on event execution strategies.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
