Job Description

The OpenText VIM Consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions to automate and optimize Accounts Payable processes. The role involves working closely with business and technical teams to design best-practice VIM and Vendor Portal integrations, ensuring stable operations from requirement gathering through postgo-live support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business and functional users to understand current and future-state Accounts Payable processes.
  • Analyze business requirements and design best-practice SAP VIM and Vendor Portal solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Configure OpenText Archive Center and Invoice Capture Center (IC4S).
  • Support SAP Basis consultants during SAP VIM add-on installation and system setup.
  • Configure SAP VIM settings including document types, workflows, data capture, and system integrations.
  • Coordinate with ABAP developers to support custom developments and enhancements.
  • Work with Vendor Portal teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP, VIM, and external systems.
  • Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, and perform functional testing to validate implemented solutions.
  • Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and resolve defects identified during testing.
  • Define and execute cutover strategies and support issue resolution during and after go-live.
  • Deliver hypercare support and conduct training sessions for end users post-implementation.
  • Create and maintain detailed functional and technical documentation.
  • Perform regular system assessments to ensure optimal performance and compliance of SAP VIM solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 510 years of experience in SAP and OpenText VIM implementations.
  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable process automation using SAP VIM.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration, testing, and deployment of VIM solutions.
  • Exposure to Vendor Portal integrations and SAP add-on installations.
  • Experience supporting production systems and post-go-live stabilization.
