We are seeking a Network Test Engineer specializing in Wide Area Networking (WAN) to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. In this role, you won't just be testing networks—you will build the sophisticated automation frameworks and tooling required to validate high-performance network infrastructures.
Your mission is to ensure WAN reliability by simulating real-world conditions—latency, jitter, and packet loss—through sophisticated Go and Python automation.
Key Responsibilities
- WAN Simulation & Testing: Develop automated test beds to simulate global site-to-site connectivity, focusing on SD-WAN, MPLS, and Internet VPN topologies.
- Traffic Engineering Validation: Build tools in Go to validate path selection, failover convergence times, and QoS (Quality of Service) policies across the WAN.
- Automated Impairment Testing: Write Python scripts to programmatically inject latency, jitter, and blackouts into the test environment to verify network resilience.
- Protocol Deep-Dives: Validate and troubleshoot WAN-specific protocols including BGP (EBGP/IBGP), IPSec, Segment Routing, and LDP
- Performance Benchmarking: Use Go-based tools to measure throughput and end-to-end latency across geographically dispersed nodes.
