Job Summary
As a Molding Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc., you will support the manufacturing team in the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding processes to ensure high-quality production. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the setup, optimization, and validation of injection molding processes.
- Conduct experiments and collect data to analyze molding parameters and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the troubleshooting of molding defects and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in the design and modification of molds, fixtures, and tooling.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Document process parameters, engineering changes, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering department.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of injection molding principles and plastic materials is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training.
