Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of innovative automotive components and systems. This role involves applying mechanical engineering principles to bring cutting-edge solutions to fruition within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for automotive applications, ensuring compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other engineering calculations to optimize designs and predict performance.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo).
- Participate in design reviews, FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) activities to identify and mitigate potential risks and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into overall product architecture.
- Develop and execute test plans, analyze test data, and provide detailed reports to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical issues, propose effective solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and automotive design.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in mechanical design and development, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks, Creo) and 2D drafting.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software and techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
