Institute: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai
Qualification and Key Skills Required:
- PhD with relevant experience OR
- MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
- BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
- Experience in machine design and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of industrial automation is required.
- Proficiency in CAD with SolidWorks/NX.
- Proficiency in ANSYS for structural analysis.
- Understanding of material science.
Job Profile:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop automated multi-level stacking/ Docking system for drones with robust and efficient mechanical structures.
- Perform structural and kinematic analysis to ensure system stability and efficiency.
- Work on CAD modeling, simulation, and prototyping to optimize design feasibility.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and automation teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct material selection, cost analysis, and manufacturing process planning to ensure scalability and production efficiency.
- Oversee fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical components and sub-systems.
- Provide technical documentation, including design specifications, manufacturing guidelines and reports.
- Any other work assigned as per requirement
