Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilledMechanical Engineerwith strong expertise indrone design,drone parts development,UGV development andadvanced CAD modeling. The ideal candidate must be an expert inSiemens NX, with solid knowledge ofCNC machining,plastic and metal manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFA best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop drone components, assemblies, and full drones usingSiemens NX.
- Create 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and GD&T-compliant documentation.
- Optimize designs forlightweight structures,aerodynamics, andstrength-to-weight ratios.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure parts are optimized forCNC,2D milling, Lathe,3D printing, and other production methods.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, structural feasibility checks, and material selection.
- Collaborate with electronics, production, and R&D teams for prototype development and testing.
- Support assembly line improvements and iterative design changes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry norms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in Siemens NX(mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Carbon fibre components.
- CNC machining
- Manufacturing processes (3D printing,2D milling, 3-axis/5-axis CNC, etc.)
- DFM/DFA principles
- Material science (carbon fiber, aluminum alloys, engineering plastics)
- Hands-on experience in designing UAV/drones (preferred).
- Ability to read and create engineering drawings with GD&T.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical intuition.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in drone industry or aerospace components.
- Exposure to CFD/FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, etc.).
- Understanding of FAA/Drone Rules 2021 compliance (optional).
