Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Mumbai. The responsibilities include designing and developing innovative mechanical products and systems, creating machine designs and related components, and working on product design enhancements. The role involves utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop and prototype functional models as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.

Essential Skills:

- BTech/MTech with hands-on experience

- Proof of past work (consumer-grade, not just academic projects)

- Strong fundamentals in microfluidic design

- SolidWorks / Fusion 360 proficiency

- Comfort with 3D printing (FDM/SLA)

- Workshop and fabrication familiarity (CNC milling, finishing, Vacuum forming, Surface Lithography)

- Understanding of regulatory landscape (ISO, IEC, FDA)

- Willing to work from Mumbai out of our lab based at NanoBios Lab and MEDIC IITB

Good to have

- COMSOL or OpenFoam simulation

- Wet lab experience (pipetting, biological assays, spectrophotometry)

- Experience with microcassette/cartridge design or POCT devices

Compensation
