Role Purpose
To lead and drive marketing initiatives for the biologicals business, ensuring strong brand positioning, farmer education, distributor engagement, and demand generation. The Marketing Lead will play a pivotal role in translating market insights, sustainable agriculture trends, and competitive intelligence into actionable marketing strategies that strengthen market share, brand trust, and business growth in the biological crop protection and nutrition sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop and execute brand strategies for biological crop protection and nutrition products, aligned with business goals and sustainability objectives.
- Position products emphasizing efficacy, eco-friendliness, regulatory compliance, and farmer profitability.
- Lead new product launches, packaging strategies, awareness campaigns, and digital outreach programs.
- Market Development & Farmer Engagement (Demand Generation)
- Design and implement farmer training sessions, field demonstrations, and awareness campaigns to promote adoption of biological solutions.
- Collaborate with agri-input dealers, distributors, cooperatives, and agri-institutions to strengthen distribution and build demand.
- Conduct regular field visits to understand farmer needs, validate product performance, and refine strategies.
- Market Intelligence & Research
- Monitor agricultural trends, crop patterns, pest and disease outbreaks, and competitor activities to refine marketing strategies.
- Lead research and surveys to identify new market opportunities for biologicals and emerging customer segments.
- Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Guide and mentor marketing and field teams to effectively communicate the benefits of biological solutions.
- Work closely with R&D, Sales, Technology Development, and Regulatory Affairs to align strategies with product innovation and compliance requirements.
- Engage with agencies for creative, digital, and media support to reach wider farmer audiences.
- Budget & ROI Management
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources with high impact campaigns.
- Track and report campaign ROI, farmer engagement outcomes, and adoption rates of biological products.
- Sales NRV & Scheme Management / Sales Coordination .

- Increased brand visibility and awareness of biological solutions among farmers and distributors.

Skills Must Have
- Strong leadership, planning, and strategic marketing abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local languages (Hindi preferred).
- Ability to engage with farmers, distributors, cooperatives, and industry stakeholders.
- Knowledge of biologicals, sustainable agriculture practices, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CRM and agri-digital platforms is an advantage.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in biologicals/agrochemical/agri-input marketing, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
- Proven experience in farmer engagement, product positioning, and distributor management.
- Understanding of sustainable agriculture practices and adoption drivers for biological solutions.
- Experience in rural and semi-urban markets with strong field exposure.
- Willingness to travel extensively across agricultural regions.
