Job Overview

The Manager – Sales & Marketing (Weddings & Celebrations) at VFS Global will be responsible for driving tourism strategies focused on destination weddings, events, and celebrations. The role involves developing marketing plans, building relationships with tourism boards, wedding planners, and travel agents, and achieving defined revenue and growth targets. The individual will also generate market intelligence, identify new business opportunities, and enhance brand positioning within the weddings and celebrations segment.

Strategic Planning and Business Development

• Prepare and implement the annual marketing plan aligned with Tourism Board strategies, with a focus on weddings, events, and celebrations.

• Identify new business opportunities beyond existing offerings to drive growth.

• Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Tourism Borads, Ministers, wedding planners, and travel agents.

• Engage with clients, families, and stakeholders interested in destination weddings/celebrations.

• Develop partnerships and alliances to enhance brand awareness in the weddings segment.

Tender and Proposal Management

• Plan and execute innovative marketing campaigns and joint promotions with partners and generate leads for weddings and celebration groups.

• Coordinate with internal teams for strategy execution, budgeting, and performance.

• Collaborate with private sector partners to promote tourism destinations.

Compliance, Brand Management, and Market Intelligence

  • Ensure compliance with the company's information security policies and procedures.
  • Enhance the company profile and brand image through strategic initiatives and sustained business development efforts.
  • Conduct market intelligence activities to stay informed on industry trends, competition, and emerging opportunities.

Sustainability

  • Promote judicious use of natural resources.
  • Adhere to the organisation's environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.

Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)

  • Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.

a. Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.

b. Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual.

Additional Responsibilities (Special Projects)

• Manage and execute special projects related to tourism promotions, weddings, and celebrations as assigned by the reporting manager.

Education

• Graduate/ Postgraduate or Global Equivalent Degree

Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant work experience in destination weddings, tourism promotion, or event-based business development.

• Strong network within the wedding and celebrations industry preferred
