Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role based in Assam, India, with a combination of in-office client meetings and some work-from-home flexibility. The Life Insurance Agent will identify and approach potential customers, understand their protection and financial needs, and recommend suitable life insurance and investment solutions from ICICI Prudential Life's product portfolio. Daily responsibilities include prospecting, scheduling and conducting consultations, explaining policy features and benefits, and supporting customers through the application, documentation, and underwriting process. The role also involves post-sales service, including policy servicing queries, renewals, and assisting with claims-related guidance to ensure a positive customer experience. The Life Insurance Agent will maintain accurate records of interactions, work closely with branch and sales teams, and stay updated on product changes, regulatory guidelines, and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability or strong interest in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the capacity to understand and explain different life insurance products and solutions.
  • Familiarity with Insurance Brokerage practices and basic Finance concepts to help customers make informed decisions on protection and long-term savings.
  • Strong Customer Service orientation, including active listening, clear communication, and a consultative approach to building long-term relationships.
  • Good interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with diverse customer segments across urban and semi-urban areas.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working with sales targets in a part-time, hybrid (office and home-based) environment.
  • Basic proficiency in digital tools (email, messaging apps, CRM or spreadsheets) for maintaining customer records and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Knowledge of local language(s) of Assam along with English or Hindi is highly beneficial.
  • Minimum educational qualification: higher secondary (12th grade) or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred.
  • Prior experience in insurance, banking
