Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, and creating detailed interior layouts aligned with client requirements and brand standards. Daily tasks include space planning, coordinating with architects and consultants, preparing and reviewing construction drawings, and selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The role involves meeting clients, conducting site visits and measurements, collaborating with contractors and vendors, and monitoring design execution to ensure quality and adherence to timelines. The Interior Designer will also assist in preparing presentations, cost estimates, and documentation to support project approvals and delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to integrate interior concepts into overall project vision.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize layouts for functionality, circulation, and user experience.
- Experience creating and interpreting Construction Drawings, including detailed plans, elevations, and joinery details.
- Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination with suppliers and vendors.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and presentation tools (e.g., Photoshop, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams and on-site stakeholders.
- Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and a portfolio demonstrating completed interior design projects.
- Knowledge of local materials, finishes, building regulations, and construction practices in India is an advantage.
