Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing layouts, and creating detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors. The role involves preparing and reviewing construction drawings, conducting site visits to monitor progress and quality, and ensuring that designs meet client requirements, timelines, and budgets. The Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback into revisions.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design skills, including concept development, material selection, and detailing.
• Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize functionality, circulation, and user experience.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles to coordinate interior designs with structural and façade elements.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections.
• Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, specifications, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office skills.
• Strong visual communication, presentation, and documentation abilities.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Prior experience in an architecture or interior design firm, especially on-site coordination, is an advantage.
