Job Title: Human Resources Manager.

Location: Pune, Maharashtra (In-office)

Job Type: Full-time.

Reporting To: Co-Founders / Leadership Team.

As we scale our team and operations, we are looking for a Human Resources Manager who can build strong people processes while preserving our entrepreneurial culture.Role Overview

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, employee lifecycle management, compliance, performance management, and culture building. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both strategic thinking and operational execution. The role will work closely with the founders and functional heads to align people practices with business goals.Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with founders and department heads to understand current and future staffing needs.
  • Own the complete recruitment lifecycle: job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer negotiation, and closures.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for technical, business, and field roles.
  • Drive campus hiring, referrals, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience at all stages.
  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Design and execute structured onboarding programs to ensure smooth assimilation of new hires.
  • Manage joining formalities, documentation, background verification, and HR system updates.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact throughout the employee lifecyclefrom joining to exit.
  • HR Operations & Compliance (India Focused)
  • Ensure full compliance with Indian labour laws, including Shops & Establishments Act, PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus Act, POSH, and applicable state regulations.
  • Draft, update, and maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and statutory documentation.
  • Coordinate audits and handle compliance reporting as required.
  • Performance Management & Talent Development
  • Design and administer the performance appraisal and goal-setting process.
  • Work with managers to define KPIs, OKRs, and performance expectations.
  • Support performance improvement plans (PIPs) and career development discussions.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support succession and growth planning.
  • Compensation, Payroll & Benefits
  • Manage payroll processes in coordination with finance and external vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer compensation structures, increments, bonuses, and incentive plans.
  • Benchmark salaries against market trends to ensure competitiveness.
  • Manage employee benefits such as health insurance, leave policies, and statutory benefits.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR matters.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, feedback surveys, and culture-building activities.
  • Promote company values and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Learning, Training & Organisational Development
  • Identify organisational training needs and coordinate internal or external programs.
  • Support leadership development and managerial capability building.
  • Encourage continuous learning aligned with business growth.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting
  • Prepare and present HR dashboards and reports related to hiring, attrition, performance, and engagement.
  • Use data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Exit Management & Offboarding
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback to improve retention.
  • Manage smooth offboarding, including handovers, final settlements, and asset recovery.
  • HR Systems & Process Improvement
  • Implement and manage HRMS tools to streamline HR operations.
  • Continuously improve HR processes for scalability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

58 years of overall HR experience, with strong exposure to end-to-end HR operations.

Proven experience in recruitment, HR operations, compliance, and employee relations.

  • Prior experience in a startup, tech, or fast-growing organisation is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Work Location: In-person (Pune, Maharashtra)
  • Candidate must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to joining.
