About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Lead – Human Resources professional to join a fast-growing startup in the hospitality sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building and nurturing organizational culture, setting up HR frameworks from the ground up, and partnering closely with leadership to drive people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Culture Building & People Strategy
Design, implement, and drive a strong organizational culture aligned with business goals
Act as a culture ambassador, ensuring employee engagement and a positive work environment
Develop and execute HR strategies that support rapid business growth
2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
Lead end-to-end recruitment for key roles across functions
Build strong talent pipelines, especially for hospitality and luxury retail roles
Strengthen employer branding to attract high-quality talent
3. HR Operations & Policies
Set up and streamline HR processes, policies, and systems
Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations
Oversee payroll, compensation structuring, and HR audits
4. Performance Management & Development
Design and implement performance management systems (KPI/OKR frameworks)
Drive learning & development initiatives and leadership capability building
Coach managers on performance, feedback, and team management
5. Employee Engagement & Retention
Develop initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention
Conduct engagement surveys and implement actionable insights
Address employee concerns and maintain a high level of trust and transparency
6. Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with founders and leadership team on strategic HR decisions
Act as a trusted advisor on organizational design and workforce planning
Key Requirements
Experience: 5–15 years (mandatory)
Proven track record in building organizational culture
Strong experience in luxury retail and/or hospitality industry
Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is highly preferred
Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
